Healthy hair, super feminine, the kind of hair, we all dream of having.
Don’t worry my tips don’t include expensive hair products and treatments.
I only suggest affordable products we all have in our house and simple hair routines which when followed consistently will get you amazing super long hair in no time.
Plus an extra gift for you: If you read this post to the end, I will reveal my own little secret about what helped me grow my hair long really fast and I said naturally.
So keep reading girl, you’re on the right track for amazing hair!
Let me tell you some things about my hair story. My hair was actually long and thick, but also dry, and neither curly nor straight.
Kind of unformed, wavy hair which implies extra difficulty and effort if you like your hair to be well-groomed.
Actually, they always need styling, with special products because they are so frizzy.
The possibility of just washing your hair and not do anything with them simply does not exist, unless you want your head to resemble a bush as soon as your hair gets dry!
At some point in my life, a few years ago, I straightened it out almost on a daily basis as I wanted to look elegant and professional at work.
To speed up the process, I used a very hot flat iron. Also at that time, I bleached my hair to get a light blond color.
Well, you can imagine what happened. My otherwise rich hair got so dehydrated that it looked like straw!
And it wasn’t enough, time by time the length began to decrease dramatically as the flat iron was so hot, that it burned them!
I was slow to realize it and when I finally did, it was too late. My hair was so damaged and short! 🙁
The whole situation was causing me incredible stress and grief, so I looked for different methods to get my hair back to a healthy state, but also to grow long hair fast, without expensive treatments and products, all naturally.
This is what I did:
STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Stopped bleaching my hair:
To start with, I completely abandoned bleaching my hair, as it incredibly dehydrated it and made it dull. As much as you like the impressive blonde hair you see on almost every Tv Star, unfortunately, you should give it up.
Basically, what bleach does is to open the protective shield of the hair so that chemicals responsible for oxidation penetrate the hair and dissolve the substances that give the hair color. This makes hair thinner, with a rougher look, dull and clearly more sensitive and brittle.
Instead, I adopted a darker / sweeter blonde tone which doesn’t require bleach to color the hair, so it doesn’t harm it. This move was a lifesaver as I immediately saw a difference in the texture and look of my hair.
At the same time, whenever I need to dye my hair, I just color the root and protect the rest from unnecessary chemicals.
No flatiron:
After the horrible experience, I had, I avoid straightening my hair as much as I can and generally avoid any devices that interfere with my hair at such high temperatures. No, no no ..
I don’t risk damaging my hair again so I prefer more natural hairstyles. Especially in the summer I hardly style my hair .. I even avoid using the hairdryer leaving my hair to dry naturally.
No Stress:
Hair plays a big role in a person’s self-confidence and seeing my hair destroyed, well it made me really sad and stressed whether I could ever grow long hair again.
But worrying and stressing only causes more problems for both our health and hair. Besides several health issues stress causes to our body, it is also largely responsible for the poor condition of our hair.
First of all, during periods of intense stress, it is very likely that you will notice intense hair loss and consequently thinning of your hair (sure I did notice that).
Stress also leads to premature graying of our hair and nobody wants that right? At the same time, it can lead to unhealthy dietary choices, which also hinders the growth of our hair.
So what you need to do asap is release stress about growing long, healthy hair. As long as you follow the right steps you’ll get your healthy, long hair in no time.
ROUTINES
Nourishing products:
Dull and dehydrated hair definitely needs special care.
In my effort to moisturize my hair and restore its shine, I have tried countless shampoos, conditioners and masks, both expensive and cheap.
So what I’ve noticed is that products that include royal jelly, well they work wonders for me and right from first application my hair got softer and calmer.
I suggest you too try several products, not necessarily expensive ones but specialized hair moisturizers that provide nutrition.
Choose those products that get your hair softer and use them consistently on every hair wash.
Comb your hair while your mask is in place:
My hair tends to get quite tangled and whenever I tried to untangle it while dry, I really end up with too many tufts of my hair in the brush.
So what I do, is to comb them while I have my hair mask on. It’s really much easier.
They get untangled really easy and don’t break. Anyway, the mask needs a few minutes to act, so I take advantage of this time appropriately.
Massage with olive oil on the scalp:
Massaging the scalp not only is very relaxing and enjoyable, but also proved to be very beneficial in my effort to naturally grow long hair fast.
So once a week I use olive oil with which I massage my scalp for 10 minutes. Then I apply a little olive oil to the ends of the hair and wrap them in a bag (regular plastic bag) for half an hour to keep it warm.
In this way, hair follicles are activated, helping hair to lengthen quickly while at the same time hair is hydrated and becomes softer.
To fully do a proper hair routine, I suggest doing the olive oil treatment as described above. Then wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo, apply your mask and comb your hair.
Leave the mask on for 5 minutes and you ‘re done! When finished you can also apply a leave-in conditioner for even better results! Believe me, your hair will be transformed!
Wash your hair no more than 2-3 times a week:
Our hair doesn’t need daily shampooing, especially if it’s dry and curly. Daily use of shampoo not only will remove sweat and dirt but also it will remove natural oils from the scalp, which are very important for hair health and growth. They act as nutrients while protecting the hair from wear and tear.
So I deliberately don’t wash my hair every day. I let my scalp replenish the oiliness that is essential for root and hair health. When you stop washing your hair daily, the skin balances and doesn’t show oiliness, and then you can leave a bigger gap between washing your hair.
DIET
Good nutrition is a key factor in trying to grow long hair fast.
More specifically, foods rich in iron, zinc, vitamins B and C, and omega-3 fats are best for hair.
You may additionally choose a dietary supplement with biotin if you want, but if not, start eating oysters, mussels, beans, and eggs.
Other beneficial foods are peppers, green vegetables, avocados, nuts (especially almonds), and salmon. I have some interesting info about healthy snacks in this post.
Never forget to drink plenty of water to hydrate your body and hair and help absorb all the nutrients.
SECRET
My secret:
So it’s finally time for me to reveal you my secret, which helped me a lot in my effort to naturally grow long hair really fast.
What I do is that I sometimes choose to wear my hair up in a ponytail. I have noticed that since I style my hair in this way, my hair grows really fast.
But be extra careful: wearing your hair in tight ponytails for long periods of time, could also damage the hair and cause hair loss, especially on the front of the head, making the forehead look bigger!
If you choose ponytails, please don’t make it a daily habit. Also remember to change the height of the pony frequently, and use a fabric rubber band so that the hair is not damaged.
Don’t make your pony tight and again don’t use this hairstyle every day. At night, prefer to leave your hair free and even massage your scalp for a few minutes!
Following these tips really helped me grow long hair really fast and naturally.
Love your hair, take good care of it consistently and you’ll get your super long, healthy hair really fast.
These are really great tips! Comb while mask is on is something I will do now on also the ponytail tips, I didn’t know that. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank You! Hope these tips help!
Good points I’m defo guilty tying my hair up too tight
Ponys I believed really helped me grow my hair and it’s an easy, elegant hairstyle I like tight ponytails as well. But, i try not to wear my hair like that every day even though when having kids, loose hair is definitely not a good idea…
Hair growth is a big reason I chose to have dreadlocks. I had the same problems with hair damage. My natural hair just wasn’t working out and I wore my hair in pony tails WAY too much!! My daughter has beautifuI hair because I do most of these tips on her hair. Great ideas for healthy hair!
When my hair was damaged it stressed me a lot and tried so many things for growing back long hair…..now I do the tips consistently to keep my hair healthy. And I too do he tips to my daughter!
your hair journey is very similar to mine! I’m a natural dark, borderline black brunette and about 5 years ago I went Elsa white, omg the damage was soooo bad ! My hair had finally made a full recovery but now has a new slew of issues after having my son in January. definitely going to try some of these out to hopefully strengthen the hair that i do have and hopefully cut down on the pp hair loss.
Too many people are oblivious to the fact that fast hair growth shampoos (of course with no sulfates, no parabens and no DEA) are even a thing. Hair styling enthusiasts now may experience longer hair and possess more options. Definitely worth considering.
When you’re examining hair loss, hair damage, preventing scalp disorders, hair growth, hair health more often than not, very similar thoughts apply.
As a general rule, you have to steer clear of hair treatments and products that use chemicals like parabens, DEA and sulfates.
What’s beneficial for your hair is good for your skin also.
It goes without saying your content on this page is so accurate for many reasons. It steers away from the usual mistakes and errors so many fall into- utilizing ineffective alternatives. Greatly appreciated!
